I got started in the waste industry in 1980 driving a front loader garbage truck for a national waste removal company. Shortly after that I moved into dispatch where I quickly learned about customer service. By the early nineties I had worked my way up to an Operations Manager.

In 1994 I decided to start my own portable sanitation company in Vancouver BC (Canada) and surrounding areas. Rama Plastics, as it was called then, was the only company I purchased my toilets from. It did not take long to realize how necessary portable sanitation was, and my company grew quite fast. In 2001 I teamed up with a larger waste company and helped it grow exponentially. 

In 2007 I sold my shares in the company and shortly after was approached by Jake Groen (from the PolyJohn Plant in Orillia, Ontario) and was asked to build relationships with customers in western Canada - from Manitoba to Vancouver Island, as well as up to the Yukon and the Northwest Territories. Together Jake and I have built a great team here in western Canada, and have great relationships with our customer base. 

It has been a fun ride so far, and I look forward to many more years of creating and maintaining friendships with existing customers, new customers, as well as all the staff of PolyJohn in North America and around the world.
